Course Summary

This one day course is an introductory product safety training course to provide engineers with the basic understanding of product safety such that they have an understanding of the language, policies, processes, techniques and tools and how this is integrated into the engineering processes. All new work equipment must by design, construction and supply comply with one or more legal requirements to ensure that they can be used safely and without harm. Most of these new products requirements originate in regional legislation, which are discussed on the course relevant to the location of the training.

The course uses presentations, group discussions, videos and trainer-led exercises throughout to explain the generic Engineering Safe Products processes and how they apply in different national and industry sector contexts.

Who should attend?

The course is aimed at those involved in engineering safe products, i.e. managers, supply chain, manufacture, maintenance, support, and examines the process for identifying hazards and reducing safety risks for your products at the design stage.
