Course summary

This two-day course covers all the basic requirements under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO). Delegates will gain understanding of how to conduct Fire Risk Assessments for simple offices, small retail and similar premises, and how to use the findings to ensure compliance with current legislation. Delegates will also gain practical experience of conducting a Fire Risk Assessment with feedback in an informal relaxed environment designed to maximise the learning benefits. The course material and handouts are used in conjunction with the Communities and Local Government (CLG) Fire Safety Guides and the current legislation.

  • Identify fire hazards and apply the principles of prevention
